Speed density gives faster response to rapidly changing conditions like a turbo spool up.
For example, my friend was tuning a 1000 rwhp Supra on the dyno with the AEM. He was tuning at 30 psi with C16 race fuel. During the dyno run , a wastegate hose came off and the boost spiked up to 40 psi in an instant. The A/F graph data log showed a rock solid of 12:1 all the way across before the spike and during the spike up to 9000 rpm. The speed density was able respond quickly.

I remember seeing your Peacemaker dyno charts. The A/F graph looked like a roller coaster wave, under a non boost spiked run. Not sure if that was the MAS air sensor lag or the ecu trying to keep up and make corrections at that high boost situation. Your A/F charts have been removed from the host server. Can't find them to link.
